Role Details

🚀 The Mission

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to join a dynamic Fintech environment. You will act as the crucial liaison bridging the gap between business analysts and the development team. In this role, you will drive, define, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Your goal is to identify the “golden source” for business terms, map them accurately, and find robust implementation options alongside the developers before presenting the final solutions for cross-team acceptance.

You will be part of a highly collaborative Technical Analyst & Modeler chapter of 20 members spread across 7 squads , working side-by-side with DWH developers, QA, DevOps, and business analysts.

💻 Your Day-to-Day Impact

  • Translate inputs from business representatives into refined requirements, business terms, and conceptual models.
  • Deliver top-tier data requirements, term definitions, and comprehensive Data Models (conceptual, logical, physical).
  • Create precise source-to-requirements and source-to-target mappings.
  • Generate the necessary documentation for shipping deployment packages to Data Lakes.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Dev Team during the development phase and report on progress to stakeholders.
  • Promote data model usage across the wider organization and maintain design standards for Data Lake components.
  • Collaborate proactively with programmers, testers, and business users to identify and resolve issues.
  • Provide essential training, documentation, and support for business users.

🎯 The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience: 3+ years of proven experience as a Data Modeler within a Data Warehouse or reporting environment.
  • Core Knowledge: Strong understanding of DWH, data modeling, ETL processes, database design, and business intelligence.
  • Technical Stack: Advanced Oracle PL/SQL skills , alongside knowledge of IBM’s BDW models.
  • Tools: Experience with data modelling methods and the IBM InfoSphere suite (or similar glossary/modelling tools).
  • Domain Expertise: Understanding of banking processes, products (finance, risk, investments), and Data Mesh implementation.
  • Education: University degree in Computer Science or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • Soft Skills: Autonomous problem solver with excellent judgment. You must be persistent, communicative, and able to persuasively document and explain IT decisions to non-IT colleagues.
  • Language: Good level of English alongside excellent didactical skills.

🌟 Bonus Points (Considered a Plus)

  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Prior experience within the business area of financial institutions or data management organizations.
  • Background as a Senior DWH Developer, Solution Designer, or Data Architect.
  • Hands-on experience with Public Cloud solutions.
