ETL Developer – Data Warehouse

Location: Bucharest, Sector 1 (Hybrid)

Availability: Immediate / ASAP

Rate: 30 – 35 EUR/h

Key Responsibilities

  • ETL Workflow Management: Develop and maintain ETL workflows using IBM InfoSphere DataStage (v11.5.0.1) and Oracle 19C, adhering to established standards and frameworks.

  • Data Architecture: Analyze source systems, data structures, and data flows while working with Logical and Physical Data Models.

  • Testing & Quality: Implement and execute unit tests to ensure data accuracy and integrity, conduct peer code reviews, participate in System Integration Testing (SIT), and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Optimization & Deployment: Optimize ETL jobs for performance and scalability; support deployment activities including code, mappings, and metadata changes.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education & Background: University degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.

  • ETL Expertise: 5–10 years of experience in Data Warehouse and ETL development, with a strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and architectures.

  • Tooling: Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as DataStage, Informatica, SSIS, Ab Initio, dbt, or similar platforms.

  • Databases & Programming: Solid knowledge of Oracle Databases and PL/SQL, alongside good programming skills in Python.

  • Large-Scale Systems: Experience working with large-scale data warehouse solutions (familiarity with BigQuery and Cloud Storage is a plus).

  • DevOps & QA: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data integration/testing, test automation, data validation techniques (including anomaly detection), and change management/defect tracking tools.

  • Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum) frameworks.
